The Boys first Braves Game

We decided to take the boys to see the Braves play this year.... what a blast they had! Great experience! They love the Braves! Eric was so excited to see Chipper Jones play and is on the search for every Chipper card he can find! He has moved most of his fire stuff around so he can now set up his Baseball Display, complete with his Jersey, pants, and socks(?).
my crazy kids, never want to pose normal for a picture!

Look...The Braves!

Finally, a semi-decent pic... at least they are both smiling!

entering the field, getting ready to run the bases!!

Hanging out by the Braves dug out!

Lined up ready to run those bases....

I don't think JE ever actually touched home plate!

Great running guys! Wish they would have let the parents run too! That would have been awesome!
official braves fan photos here  they are in pics 40 and 42 rounding 2nd!

Our family Pic is #7554 or 7555...

We will definitely make another trip to see the Braves play! Maybe you can join us next time... there were plenty of seats left available!

June Catch up ( a month late!)

Where has the time gone... here is it end of July and I am just now doing June post! Oops! Well, better late than never right! So what have the McDanal's been up to?? Well, let's see:
To start out June, Eric went to Cub Scout Resident camp for several days. Jamie spent two nights with him and I spent only one, which just happened to be my birthday!

Eric and Lincoln ready to get on the road to Camp Horne

The loudest group would get to go eat first...

not really sure what to call this, but at meal time we would get into some kind of singing match with the Northport troop... "There ain't no bugs on us..."

The end of camp... I think they've gone a little crazy!

Next up: John Emory's T ball party! He was so happy to see his team and get his trophy! Great Job Pirates!

That was pretty much our big June events, other than my birthday... Jamie hooked me up with a really nice present that made making the decorations for JE's party a snap. Thanks to the hubby for my new Cricut! It's amazing!  Pics of that event will come soon!

Shannon's Shower

May 30th at work we celebrated our Clinical Director's upcoming nuptials by eating delicious food from DePalmas!!

Her gift card flower arrangement!

We had bubbles to celebrate! And since she's running away to get married and none of us will get to do this at the wedding, she was a great sport and ran under our bubble blowing!! Thanks for humoring us!!

And moments after she did this, our boss drove by! If only he had been a few minutes earlier!! :)

Congrats to Shannon and Jason! Hope you have fun at your wedding! Wish I could have snuck into your suitcase!  Somehow we are surviving without you at work... just barely! (you are never allowed to take off again!)

Alright everyone back to work... I mean it's time to eat cheese cake!!

May Recap

so, it's been a while since I posted. Hang on to your seats this is gonna be a long recap.... we had a lot going on in May!

First up: you may remember that Eric auditioned and made it into the TPS singers for next year. They had their first concert at the end of the year. What a great job they did! Such wonderful directors! Can't wait to watch them perform again and then spend some time at Disney with them.

Here Eric is what they called a Dynamite Dancer! He was super proud of his dance moves.

So excited that Eric and Oliver made it together! Also glad that Grayson Williams made it too, even though he's not in the picture.(JE is standing in for him!!) Our three boys have been buddies since birth!!

Next up: May Day! We had a blast!

Cub Scouts Blue and Gold Banquet 2012   Theme: Pirates

On this day the Scouts celebrate some achievements they have made throughout the year. Eric received his Tiger Cub badge and was promoted to Wolf Cub, which is what he will work on throughout the next year! He has had a great first year in Scouts and I would encourage anyone interested to join up! It's a lot of fun for the whole family! Great group of people involved with the boys!

JE had to get in the action b/c he's a "pub scout brother" He is wearing his Pirate jersey in order to fit with the theme!

Promotion to Wolf Cub

Lastly, some random shots from May:

JE had his first Cubbie program at church! Bad momma forgot the camera! I did get a really cute video on my phone I will try to upload!

JE's last T ball game! He had such a good time playing! Thanks to Coach Hendu for his patience with our little guys!!

We tried out the new waffle house in Hillcrest!

Eric perfected his cannonball, with a bunch of girls in amazement at his skillz!

Eric's baseball team finished up 3rd in the tournaments! Go Braves!!

Eric's first grade year ended... now on to 2nd and his last year at TPS!  We will definitely miss his sweet teacher Mrs. Mitchell! She was such a wonderful teacher and great for Eric's transition into kindergarten and first grade! We are very grateful for her! (Thanks for putting up with my talkative little boy!)
Now the boys are ready for summer break... we have lots planned to keep the little buggers busy! JE is more than prepared for the swimming part of it!! Hope you all enjoyed the recap and you have a summer too!!
