In February the Scouts took a little trip to Troy, AL for an overnight adventure at Camp Butter and Egg. This time our whole family got to go camping… When we made it to Troy that night, we had a camp fire and songs and then turned in for the night, somewhere around midnight or so.
The next morning we got up bright and early to get ready for a day of high adventure and fun.
Getting harnessed up! JE was a little upset that he couldn’t do much… He got to play mini golf, shoot a bb gun, and do some archery.
This was our group for the day
John Emory found a fence to climb while Eric did the rock wall!
This is what they call the giant swing, they pull you up really high, then you pull a release rope and swing… I did this, but Jamie couldn’t work the camera so no actual proof, but below is a shot of him getting ready to swing!
Eric on the zip line… I did this too and it was so much fun!
They called this the vertical playpen… not really sure why. Eric made it to the top and rang the bell. Jamie and I only made it to the tires before deciding that we couldn’t make it any further!
We had a great time at Camp Butter and Egg! I would like to go back sometime and see if I can figure out how to get up those tires! (I actually beat Jamie up that thing! and I gave him a head start!)
