Mom always said "don't play ball in the house"

Nothing says fun like a good ole game of baseball in the house, right?? It has been a little frigid outside! Luckily, unlike the Brady Bunch, these boys did not break anything while they were playing! The important thing, as you can see by their faces is that they had a great time being boys, and brothers!! Hope you enjoy!!

John Emory is convinced that he is big enough to play baseball and Eric is ready to play this year! Too bad JE has to wait another year :(  We took Eric to Taylorville Baseball Complex and signed him up for ball today! I'll share that picture in a little bit b/c it's on my phone and not downloaded to the computer yet! Eric is super excited and will be playing with some friends from school! The great thing is the field is right next to the schools playground, so JE will have something to do, if I can keep him off the field!! Wish us luck!!

IT'S SNOWING!!!!!!!!

Here are our photos from snowpocalypse 2011!

As you can see the boys had a blast playing in the snow!! We let them go out early Wednesday evening before bed so they could enjoy it before it melted! They had a blast throwing snow at each other, because you know that's what boys love to do!!

Here is the little snow man I made the next day, just so I could say we made one! He is very small, has no eyes,nose or mouth! He has arms though, and later Eric added some leaves and an icicle?? As I type this, he is melting on the back porch! Sadly he was not made with Christmas snow and will probably not be back!! Hope everyone got a chance to get out and enjoy it!! Sure was beautiful the next morning!!

Surprise! It's a party!!!

February is the month that my youngest Niece, Caroline, was born in!! She is just a few months behind Eric! Since she lives in Dothan, we don't always get to celebrate at her friend party, so my Mom had a great idea to throw her a surprise party last weekend!! Everyone except the kids, mom and John met at Chuck E. Cheese for the big event. The kids went on a treasure hunt, compliments of the "Treasure Genie" aka John. Once they got there, Caroline was completely surprised as you can see by the look on her face!! Total Shock!! Took her a few minutes to realize it was a birthday party for her!! Meanwhile Eric is saying "Where are my presents?"

Eric, Rebecca, and Caroline getting ready to eat and go play! Let me tell you this place was nuts on this day!! Warning to other parents: Do Not Go To Chuck E. Cheese On SATURDAY!!! Yes, I know you could probably guess that one for yourself!

This little guy had a blast!! He absolutely loved running around and putting tokens in machines and getting tickets! The prize he ended up with after cashing in his tickets, he sadly broke the next day :( Oh well, one less piece of junk, er I mean one less toy to keep up with!! :)

He loved the horse and had to be pulled off kicking and screaming!!

This was just to cute not to include in the post!! I was trying to distract him so he would leave Caroline alone while opening presents!!

Didn't work very long!!

The life of a preteen! We are too boring so she must text her friends!! Hope daddy has unlimited texting on that phone!!

 

And lastly, here they are enjoying some of that fabulous chocolate Chuck E. Cheese cake! Eric, the sweet boy that he is, set the table for us!!

We had a great time celebrating Caroline's 6th birthday!! Don't know how we will top it next year!! So great to spend time with the family!!

such nice day for a bike ride

so, this was actually a couple of weeks ago... remember we had a really nice pretty day that was kind of warm?? Before the blizzard of 2011!! It was great to get out and play with the bikes! JE is really getting the hang of his balance bike!

Eric does so great without his training wheels! He's ready to hit the trails with his daddy, but his daddy wants it to get just a little bit warmer before they go trail riding and try out Eric's new bike with shocks!

Meet my little Shark!!

okay, well I'm sorry if you are a little sensitive to mouth pictures, so don't look!!

Meet my son the Shark! New Years he started to complain about his mouth hurting! I just thought it was his teeth getting loose... boy was I wrong. When I got a good look in his mouth I saw a little white top of a tooth coming in BEHIND HIS BABY TEETH!!!! I freaked out a little bit and called mom... She thought it was okay and that either Jason or I had also done this... (I don't remember) He had a dentist appointment the next week, so we didn't worry about it too much. We go to the dentist and he calls it "Shark Rowing"  He said it's okay and his baby teeth should fall out soon. So he doesn't pull the baby teeth, but mentions seeing an orthodontist at 7!! Orthodontist?? Did I hear that right? Guess we will start our braces saving account!! So here we are a month after his permanent teeth reared their ugly heads and his baby teeth have yet to fall out!! They are loose, but no other signs of the coming out. He won't wiggle them because it hurts and I won't wiggle them because I have issues with loose teeth! When I was young and loosing them, I would not go to bed with a loose tooth because I was scared I would swallow it, and what good is a tooth you don't have for the tooth fairy!! I would get ice and numb my gum until I could pull it out!! Crazy huh!!???Hopefully he and his daddy can wiggle those babies right out soon!! He's got a tooth fairy pillow that's waiting for a tooth!!

So, I will go ahead and admit that I am among the worlds worst at the whole baby book stuff..... Pure madness at my house... see the pile of stuff that I need to go through and neatly organize to put together baby books!! Just taking pictures of this overwhelms me!!! AGHHHHH!!!!! Where to start, where to start??? So I was online the other day and some how came across this nifty little site

How great is this , an online baby book!! I can add pictures and text and then have it printed out!! Cool huh! I will probably be more apt to record some of the stuff there before I would actually write it down! I don't like my handwriting anyways, so this is win - win right?? We will see in time how this goes! Maybe, just maybe I will eventually get through all those boxes of stuff and organize them!! (I can dream right!!) In the mean time, if anyone wants to volunteer to come do this for me... come on over!
