Happy Belated Valentine's Day

Here are the Valentine goodies. Yes those are fuzzy socks! Eric loves them, so I got them and then JE insisted on a pair too, so he got some. Then they got some chemistry sets to make snow and rainbow crystals, and of course chocolate. Me, I got the flowers pictured above, however I had to swing by work to get them because I was home with a sick JE on V - Day. They were beautiful and came from Pat's Florist. Randy does some beautiful work. He's my fav florist!! I asked Eric what to get Jamie and he gave me a list 1) work gloves
2) candy
3) a hug and a kiss
4) record a new episode of extreme 4x4
5) a card
6) eric would stay on a good number at school (he came home on a 4, so that's great)
I got him most of what eric said, including the work gloves, I added a rose to plant in the yard, some packs of seeds, and soil. That way when everything blooms he can remember how much we love him!! AWWWW!!!!! How Sweet am I!!??

Sorry about the Legos in the background, but ya know Eric loves to play with them.

Now to share some fav pics from that wonderful day 11 years ago!!

Us and Dr. Cook!! Really loved Dr. Cook! Miss him so much now!

Here is a pic from our 10 year anniversary cruise!! (last year)

STOP THE PRESSES!!!

Now that I have your attention... Eric came home with this little box today. Now those of you familiar with school settings might recognize it, those others I will give a hint to... on the lid it says "tooth saver"

There it is... Eric finally lost his first tooth!! That tiny little white thing is his tooth! HooRay!! He told me he asked his teacher if he could go let the nurse pull it today. He said she got a paper towel, gave it a twist and out it came. It hurt and bled a little, but he survived!! Now the Tooth Fairy can come to visit us!!
You can't really tell that he lost one from this picture because, well refer to this post.
Yea!! We are so excited!! Wonder if I can get him in bed early tonight so the Tooth Fairy won't pass us by??

GNO Alabama vs Auburn Gym Meet

Our new annual tradition at work is to get together and go to an Alabama Gym Meet.(It was a good deal too... ticket to the meet and supper all for 7.50!!)  Now this is hard for some of us, because as you can see we have a lot of Auburn fans at work!! This year we finally got the timing right and went to the Iron Bowl of Gymnastics!!! Going into this, I had already checked the rankings and knew that the Tigers probably didn't stand a chance... Sad to say that they indeed did lose, but we had such a blast watching the two teams tumble, especially the Heisman pose that one of the Auburn girls struck during her floor routine! (Which brought a lot of Boos from the students!)Fun was had by all that attended, no matter who won! I don't think I will be able to forget the crazy dance cam and Shanna's attempt to get on the big screen! (check out the link if you dare!!)

Baseball sign-up day

Eric is really excited about signing up for baseball! Here he is at the Taylorville baseball complex! He can't wait to start! He has started practicing in the yard! Hope we get a good coach that will be patient with him & help him learn to enjoy the sport! So far, the last two coaches we had were not great and this will probably be the year eric decides if he wants to continue playing.  Wish us luck, he has evaluations on Friday!! See you at the ball field!!!

Mom always said "don't play ball in the house"

Nothing says fun like a good ole game of baseball in the house, right?? It has been a little frigid outside! Luckily, unlike the Brady Bunch, these boys did not break anything while they were playing! The important thing, as you can see by their faces is that they had a great time being boys, and brothers!! Hope you enjoy!!

John Emory is convinced that he is big enough to play baseball and Eric is ready to play this year! Too bad JE has to wait another year :(  We took Eric to Taylorville Baseball Complex and signed him up for ball today! I'll share that picture in a little bit b/c it's on my phone and not downloaded to the computer yet! Eric is super excited and will be playing with some friends from school! The great thing is the field is right next to the schools playground, so JE will have something to do, if I can keep him off the field!! Wish us luck!!

IT'S SNOWING!!!!!!!!

Here are our photos from snowpocalypse 2011!

As you can see the boys had a blast playing in the snow!! We let them go out early Wednesday evening before bed so they could enjoy it before it melted! They had a blast throwing snow at each other, because you know that's what boys love to do!!

Here is the little snow man I made the next day, just so I could say we made one! He is very small, has no eyes, nose or mouth! He has arms though, and later Eric added some leaves and an icicle?? As I type this, he is melting on the back porch! Sadly he was not made with Christmas snow and will probably not be back!! Hope everyone got a chance to get out and enjoy it!! Sure was beautiful the next morning!!
