Good Luck to Jerri and her Family

In the middle of this most joyous season we had a very sad day at work today as we gathered to say good bye to one of our own.... Jerri and her husband (and son) have decided to move back to their home town and today was her last day with us :( I told her I would blog about her party so here we go...
First up we have plenty of shots of the party-goers... this one is most important because after several failed attempts I was able to catch on camera Steve the owner of our company stopping by to help cut into the cake and wish Jerri well in her next endeavor!! He and his wife Ginny were so generous to host this event!!
Also included in the shot is Karen our dosing nurse, Amanda the receptionist, and Shanna one of the many counselors!
Here is a great shot of our littlest guest... Stella! Isn't she so pretty!!!
This was the yummy dessert! A Chocolate Ice cream cake from DQ! Yummy!!!

There's sweet Stella again, her mommy Melissa, Shannon in the background taking pictures of Ashley's baby bump, and Patty who tried to stay out of all the pictures!! :)

Here's our pregnant nurse Ashley, due in March with a Boy!! Jerri says she's gonna come back for the birth and we can't wait for it!!! Alothough we really don't want her to take any maternity leave!!! She's the official photographer and probably got better pics than I did, however she did not bring her fancy camera... Jerri I might would be offended a little ;)

Here we have Dr. Hooper, half of Stephanie, and Ginny (steve's wife) enjoying the festivites!!

and here is Whitney, Maggie, and Katie...
This was an attempt to get a photo of Steve... he kept turning and walking out of the photos!!!

Now on to the opening of presents for Jerri.... and Might I add she really racked up on some good stuff! She got a really nice framed photo of all of us crazy folks she worked with so that she can always remember us... however this is our halloween pic in here, so i'm sure she will laugh everytime she looks at it. Her new co workers won't be nearly as cool as us I'm sure!!

Hand lotion to help keep those typing fingers from being too dry....
A whole kit to keep those hands looking good....

Kim and Jerri don't they look so sweet and innocent???
A pic of the cake... Yummy!!!
Jerome... or Jeritol, Whichever you prefer,
I don't think you will ever know how much we will truly miss you! You made TTC a better place by being there! You were great at your job and I wish you success in your career! I know Jaden will grow into a wonderful little boy having you as a mother!!! Enjoy the time off with him!! I will miss hearing all of your funny stories! You have got to get a Facebook page so we can keep in touch!!! oh and heads up, next time I come to Dothan I may give you a call!!
We love you lots!!
Jennifer

Happy, Happy Birthday Baby

Six years ago, Jamie and I began a new chapter in our lives as we began parents!!! James Eric McDanal, Jr. was born 12/16/04 at 8pm. He was a healthy baby weighing in at 7lbs 11 ounces! We have celebrating his birth ever since!! We have had such a joyous time since he came into our lives!! We love him so much and thank God for him everyday!!

His beautiful birthday cake that his Nan made after I gave her the idea of course!! Complete with burning house, firemen, and bystanders behind the police tape!!

That's his friend Alex in the background! They've been friends since birth. Alex was born in September of 2004!!

Our sweet boy at the hospital!!

I love this pic!! He snuggled so close!! I miss this sometimes!

The first family pic...

so cute... I think he's saying "Aghhh!!!! What happened to me!!! Where am I?? Can I go back??? Aghhhhhh!!!!!" I'm pretty sure that's how it went!! :)

Here's the lucky day... December 16th 2004! My last day pregnant! I was thrilled to finally be going to the hospital for my induction (at 2pm :( ) A day filled with so many memories, good and bad... (that's another story, don't won't to spoil this post with it!) Little did I know he would turn out to be such a wonderful, handsome, caring, smart, ACTIVE, and joyful little boy!!! Jamie and I are truly blessed by having him in our life!!

Deck the Halls

To start.... Here are JE's decorations. A ceramic tree I made one year when the girls at church went to all fired up, a nativity with angel bell, and a lego santa

Eric's room has a fiber optic tree that he decorated.... he also has a nativity, angel bell and lego santa, however they are not pictured because you would not have been able to pick them out of all the random stuff on his dresser!! :)
This is the lovely wreath that adorns our front door! I made it several years ago in a Christmas Floral class at shelton state. It has a beautiful garland that matches it that did not make it to the door this year because it is in need of repair and I haven't had time to work on it + I would have too much help!!

Our fireplace Santa and Fire Truck... just in case!

Here is a blurry view of the fire place, stockings, fire truck and various christmas books!!!

The Hutch in the kitchen with my Grinchy decorations I bought at Michaels for 60% off!! Aren't they so cute!!

Here is a close up of the bottom with some random decorations I put out! Countdown Santa, My Christmas Madame Alexander doll, a snowman, some ornaments in my fruit bowl (hope JE doesn't try to eat them) and Santa Claus candle holders (which I am now minus one thanks to JE!)

Close up of the grinch stocking!!
Here is the Foyer table...

Long shot of the Foyer.... I got the Happy Holidays banner for .99 at Michael's the other day!! It says "Happy Holidays Y'all" Isn't that cute!!
And finally here is our tree for the year... we decided to pull out the artifical this year instead of getting a real one. I must say that it looks better than I remembered!! Can't wait for all the presents under it!!

Hope everyone has a Merry Christmas!!!

Decorating the Tree

These guys really helped a lot with the tree this year, and I must say they did a fabulous job!!

Deck the Halls...

Fa La La La La...

look out!! Eric's got a gun!

This is Eric finally getting to shoot the BB Gun that his Great Grandfather gave him before he was born

Happy Belated Thanksgiving Post!!!

First up... JE in his war paint!! This pic is courtesy of my mom who picks him up from preschool for me! He is usually pretty tired when he comes home, and I think that shows in this pic! However, ain't he cute!!! :)

I know this is late... but here is the Turkey that started our Thanksgiving week!! We started the week before Thanksgiving by celebrating with my parents and my brother Jason and his wife Jenni. Then we got a couple days rest before heading to Opelika on Thursday to celebrate with my grandparents, Uncle, and other brother John. We left Opelika shortly after lunch and celebrated again in Selma with Jamie's grandparents, aunt, uncle and cousins. Then we finally made it home around 7:30pm.... of course I left shortly after to begin my new craziness of BLACK FRIDAY SHOPPING!!!! Yes that was me standing in line at Toys r Us two hours before they opened!! It wasn't too bad! Met some interesting people, even ran into someone that knew my parents!!! It's a small world after all!! (now that song is in your head!!) I got pretty much everything I went shopping for that day and made it home by 7am! I even scored a free donut at Woods and Water before going home, however I missed out on the free t-shirts they were giving away :( (who would have thought 250 shirts would run out in 30 minutes!!) I made it home to be met by two dancing children in the garage wanting to know where I had been... why to the North Pole of course!! Hubby let me take a little nap, then it was Iron Bowl time!!!

WAR EAGLE!!!!!

Lastly, we finished our Thanksgiving festivities on the Sunday after Thanksgiving by celebrating with Jamie's parents, brother, Jason (Beth had to work), and grandmother in Pine Hill! Had a great time there and finished the day by going to the shooting range and firing my rifle that I haven't used in several years... Eric also got a chance to shoot his BB gun!! I have pics of this too that I will post later!! Any who.... that was our whirlwind Thanksgiving week!! And boy do we have a lot to be thankful for!!

This is Eric dressed as a Native American for his school program!!

Such a cool pose!!

Eric and his classmates... the pilgrims are to your left....

one last shot of Thanksgiving.. JE insisted I take his picture while eating a fabulous meal... He kept saying "Cheese!" Which is JEspeak for take my picture please!!

Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving too!!! Now time for Christmas!!!

Fall 2008 scrapbook page!!

Starting to get the hang of this!! Still way unorganized!! If it weren't for Rene' I probably wouldn't even be doing this! You know me, I love a competition!! Anyway, my designs are pretty simple as I begin my scrapping journey!!
